We offer three different types of groups:
Our weekly life groups can help you to develop meaningful relationships and grow spiritually. In fact, life groups are one of the best places to grow in your walk as a Christian.
That is why it’s our vision for every person at The Refinery to be part of a life group at least twice a year. Our life groups meet weekly at the church or in homes around
Chula Vista and last 6-10 weeks.
Our affinity groups are the perfect place to gather with people who are in similar stages of life or share a similar interest or hobby. They’re a fun and casual way to meet new people or invite your friends.
Weekly therapy groups are an affordable way to get emotional and spiritual healing and support in a safe and confidential group setting.

Called to High Adventure (mixed, all ages) -- This book study will explore the person of the Holy Spirit. After studying together, we will discuss what we’ve learned and pray together. This group will change the way you understand the third person of the Trinity and will empower you to will empower you to know, seek, and follow the Spirit's leading. We hope you will join us!

“The Binders” (women, all ages) -- We are an ongoing group of women who meet for prayer and Bible study. We call ourselves The Binders because we are bound together by love and are committed to support one another in any way we can. Come join us!

The Passionate Life (mixed, all ages) – Join us for a 12-week study of the Gospel of Mark. We will be exploring various passages in Mark and discovering the ways in which his identity and mission impact us today. This devotional study will deepen our awareness of the wonderful news of Jesus and allow us to connect our hearts and minds to the gospel. Come ready to be transformed!

The Refinery women’s ministry provides opportunities for women to become grounded in God’s word and find grace and encouragement among other women in the church. Young Families Group
The goal of this group is to get our kids together to play so we can make friends and have adult conversations. We will be meeting one Saturday per month around town. The idea is to get together for low cost to no cost activities with family and friends with babies, toddlers and elementary age kiddos. On September 21st we will be going to the beach! Meet at Coronado beach at 10 a.m. On October 19thwe will be meeting at Oma’s Pumpkin Patch at 10 a.m.More activities to come. Theology on Tap
Do you thirst for meaningful conversation about faith and life with interesting people? Well, thirst no more! You are invited to join in for an evening of thought-provoking conversation with great people in a comfortable and relaxing setting. Saturday Night Life
This pastor-led bible study is an amazing opportunity to connect meaningfully with scripture and enjoy fellowship with the church. We begin the night with intimate, Spirit-filled worship, proceed to study a passage from the Bible, and end with engaging discussions in small groups.
